Lump or Fungus

Found this on a tetra. Wasn’t there a couple of days ago. Doesn’t look fuzzy to me but what do you guys think. Injury? It’s not the normal bumps they get on their lips. Ever since I had Columnaris a couple of years ago, I freak on things around the mouth. Looks more like skin than fuzz to me. Anyone else? Second pic is other side where he looks normal.

Wow, that is a growth of some sort. Agree it doesn't look cottony but doesn't look like skin. The only thing I can guess it was is mouth fungus. Found this handy chart off their facebook site.

It's not Columnaris and doesn't look like fungus.

It could be a fat lip. Salt him up and see how it looks tomorrow.
