Lots Of Bubbles!

Just setup a new tank, added everything + water treatment... but all over the filter, heater and parts of the glass there is loads of bubbles settled.

Is this normal in a new tank? Or is this because I haven't added enough water treatment... but I did?

It has happened in every tank that I have ever set up. Water in the pipes is under pressure and can hold a lot of gas dissolved in it. When you let the pressure off by running it into a tank, it is much like popping the top off a soda. All of the gasses come out of solution and make bubbles on everything.

So i'll be fine to go ahead and chop abit of my old tanks media away to put in the new tank with bubbles then add 2 of my old fish to the new tank?

Then replace the media in the old tank with new media? (Only taking away a 3rd of the old media and replacing a 3rd)

I usually stir the water a bit to get the bubbles to the surface before I do anything else. That way they are not going to cause anything too light to float. Other than that observation, I think you are ready to set up the filter and get things going.

Sounds like the temporary after effect of a water change in my tanks to me. Will be fine

Perfectly normal, when i setup my new tanks, or waterchange etc and get this, i just put my hand in and fan them off or just rub them off with my palm
