Lost A Gbr, Think I'm Losing The Other

I would do a water change on main tank for a few days.
have all the fish died now that were showing symtoms of being bloated and eyes bulging out.

Yep. It was just the Rams that were affected. I'll do another water change this afternoon. Makes me a little worried though because a water change is when all of this started. There were no symptoms prior to the water change, and after the last water change they were both dead within 24 hours.

Was the bucket for water change rinsed before use.
Used any chemicals near the tank.

This is the first time I've used the Python to do the water change. Prior to this, I had been using a fish-only bucket to empty the water and adding the dechlor to the bucket prior to adding the water back into the tank. With the Python, I read that the dechlor can just be added directly to the tank as you are adding the water back, so that's what I did. Temp was matched as well.

No other chemicals near the tank recently. The only other things added to the tank at the same time were the ferts I've been using for the past couple weeks (one I've had for probably about a month, and the other for about 2 weeks).

Any bubbles on the fish bemeath the skin.
Did the python cause alot of little bubbles in the water.

Nope, didn't notice any of this.

Did the python cause alot of little bubbles in the water.

It did cause quite a few bubbles in the water when I had the entire thing submerged, but I did have it above the tank with the stream hitting the top of the water a couple times so I could make sure the temp wasn't changing drastically.

Oh.... something just dawned on me. I wonder if it's something in my sink.... since the Python hooks up directly to the faucet. Previously, when I had done water changes, I had just used a regular gravel cleaner and gotten the water from the bathroom/bathtub and not the sink.

Think that could be it? Something on the faucet that got into the tank?

What chemicals had you used in the sink.
If it was a toxin the fish would be darting around the tank, gasping or laboured breathing. Turning up side down.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I'm not the only one that cleans the kitchen so it could be a myriad of things. I'm trying to remember if I've cleaned it recently with anything, and nothing immediately comes to mind. A lot of the cleaners I do have are supposed to be 'natural' as I've had worries with my dogs and strong cleaning chemicals.

I didn't notice any darting from the Rams, they were pretty much just sitting there looking miserable (except the male, since he was dead before I even noticed he had any symptoms). The female was definitely breathing hard though before she died. I hadn't noticed either of them turning upside down.

Maybe it's not a toxin I've put on there by cleaning, but possibly other metals or something inside of the faucet? I'm not sure how I would go about verifying that, and I definitely could use the bathroom sink for the Python instead of the kitchen to be safe. Whatever it is/was, it didn't affect my water stats as those are the same they have been.

Does your declinator remove heavy metals.

It should:

Tetra AquaSafe Water Conditioner for fresh and salt water aquariums makes tap water safe for your fish by neutralizing chlorine and heavy metals present in municipal water supplies.

AquaSafe also neutralizes chloramines by breaking down the bond between chlorine and ammonia while reducing both fish-toxic chlorine and ammonia components. In addition, it enhances the natural protective slime coating of fish to help wounds heal and protect fish from abrasions.

If you are worred about the other fish just add the interpet med anti internal bacteria.
