Lost A Fish :(

Well, two actually... but found one this aft already dead and I know these things happen sometimes so didn't think much of it, but I just fed them and then noticed one of my big male Inpaichthys kerri was just hanging in one place and looked like him mouth was stuck open (like when they've eaten a pellet that's too big for them and can't quite swallow it). Anyway I scooped him into a breeding trap and looked in his mouth, nothing there that I could see, but whatever the problem was it basically stopped him from breathing and he died within 5 minutes of my noticing a problem. never had a fish die right in front of me before. Is this something I could've prevented? I think probably not but... one needs to explore the possibility...

All the other fish are still acting completely normal.

i lost a shrimp today... no clue how i just found him dead the others seem fine though

These are very sensitive to pollutants, im sorry to hear of the lose...chin up..

I didn't specifically see him eating no... there's nigh on 60 small fish in there so impossible to pick a single one out! they didn't have pellets though, they had flake. That's what's confusing me - I've never seen that reaction to flake...

Gonna do an extra water change tonight.

I remember watching a neon choking on a massive bloodworm that was just too big to swallow - tried to get it out but there wasn't much I could do. Stupid greedy thing. Pity when it happens though.
