My tank has been set up for months and months now about a couple of days ago i noticed 1 dead guppie now their dropping like flies, there are no visibles of what could be wrong?? i dont know what to do!

ive lost:
6 neon tetras
3 harlequins
1 rainbow fish
1 guppie

all within the last 3-4 days.
water parameters are:
ammonia=0
nitrite=0
nitrate=5
ph 6.6

can anyone help me please
thanks!

sorry forget to add one thing that i sis notice is that before they died they did develop a kind of white and black tip to their fins!!!

White tips can sometimes be finrot.
Black on the fin can be due to ammonia burns healing.

Which fish died first.
Have you checked the neons to see if there red stripe looked bleached out.
Any fish gone thin and producing long sttringy white poo.

couldnt tell you about neons as there all gone now but i dont think so no.
guppie died first
then 3 neons
then 2 neons and 1 harlequin
then 2 harlequins and rainbow fish
now another harlequin

It looks like another one is gonna die as he doesnt look to good

syptoms of harlequin:
1) clamped fins
2) skinnier than other 2 harlequins
3) white tip to one of fins
4) where finnage sould be like see through it kind of has a cloudy kind of look like a layer of film over it but nothing extreme

If you have skinny looking fish you could be dealing with internal parasites.
Guppys are prone to camallanous worms.
Signs of internal parasites are as follows.
Being skinny, or looking bloated.
Bent spine.
Red inflamed anus, or enlarged.
Worms prutruding from the anus.
Long stringy white poo.
Being lethagic.

Clamped fins are a sign of stress and desease.
The cloudy fins could be bacterial, any signs of flicking and rubbing against objects in the tank.

Also check the gills over to see if the red and inflamed or pale with excess mucas on them.

there are no signs of
bent spine
Red inflamed anus, or enlarged.
Worms prutruding from the anus.
Long stringy white poo.
Being lethagic.

sterbai corydoras doent look good eithernow missing some of tail looks like someone has noticed he is weak and having a go as well!!!

im losing fish more and more i realy dont wanna lose my clown plec or wild ancistrus!

i dont know what to do!

So no really skinny fish.

If the fish are not flicking and rubbing I would treat the fins as bacterial finrot.
You will need anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
Interpet to anti fungus and finrot med but I don't rate it so its up to you.
I know this link is for betta but it applies to all fish fins.

aplied interpet med for internal bacterial infections as you said
still losing fish i only have seven left think another 3-4 will be gone withing the next day or 2!!

i dont know what to do!!

Anymore symtoms to go on.,
Sorry about all the fish that have dead.
it could range from a bad bacteria infection, to internal parasites, if some fish look skinny.

they just develop white tips to finnage and clamped fins then they dont swim about but just stay in same spot then die!!!

Keep going with the bacterial med, give it time to work.

another 2 harlequins dead this morning
im down to
1 female betta
1 ram
1 harlequin
2 rainbows

ive lost at least 13 fish within the last 4 days

i think the 2 rainbows will be dead within the next 24hours

i think its definately finrot, but would this cause them to die within 24-48hrs after developing it
and what is the best med to use to treat the tank

That's awful... it really sucks when something like that happens. If you lose the others I would scrub out the whole tank with bleach, we use it at the frog hospital to kill viruses, fungi and bacteria.

does this sound like finrot white tips of fins and ragged fins
also clamped
both my rainbows look like this
included pic but its not the best quality sorry

my female betta also is a bit lethargic now no visible signs as yet!
if i lose these ive lost everything but 1 ram!!!!! (and thats if he doesnt die as well)

what medication will i use for this need to know asap please!!
thanks for your help
