hello all

i am new round these parts but not to the hobby

i have been keeping fish since i was 8 (15 now) but been keeping marines since i was 10 and tropicals before that

currently i have a 40gal mixed reef but i really really fancy taking a steep back and keep a freshwater tank along side my marines

i want to know about freshwater stingrays, is there anyone here that can help me?

point me into the right direction for further reasearch maybe

also what sort of sized tank will i be needing, it isnt really that bad as i have a garage my parents will let me convert to a fish room in the new year that is about 20'x30' so pretty big

i hope i posted in the right section

thank you in advance

steve

id be looking at getting a 5x2x2 at minimum for the smallish rays but i hear they are harder to care for. hardier rays would be motoros which need a wider tank roughly 30" :good:
get the biggest tank you can otherwise you might regret it

Motoros would probably be your best bet, as they are apparently the easiest to keep, cheap compared to others and easily available, but they need a 72x30x24" tank, so your looking at about 200+ gallons...
