Hi all, i am a complete newbie with fish keeping, i have had my tank up and running now for 4 months with no problems.

This morning i have noticed that my angel fish were being very aggressive to each other, i had a look around the tank and spotted what i think are eggs.

Not sure if she is protecting them, its only the other angelfish which she is being mean too.

Can someone confirm with the picture below that they are eggs, also what would be the best thing to do, as i want to protect the eggs and the mum because she is taking a right bashing from the others.

Thanks for your help in advance, this forum is great!

Thanks

Those are eggs. To help reduce the aggression in the tank, it would be best to remove the other fish. Chances are that you won't be able to do that without upsetting the angels and that would not be good. If any of the eggs are on an ornament or something you might be able to raise the fry by removing the object but otherwise I'm afraid you will need to let the angels try to do this where they have laid their eggs. For future reference, a common approach for angels is to provide them with a piece of slate leaned against the tank wall. When the eggs are laid on the slate, it is removed and the eggs are cared for by the hobbyist.
