Looking For Fishkeepers In Aberdeenshire

cant see why it would be removed its a fair enough question, wasnt there a guy on not long ago asking the same thing?? maybe he wasnt aberdeen tho, but was defo scottish, be great to have a local swap etc

so whats fish shops generally like in dundee?

not bad to be honest, thers only really 1 lfs i use and that house of pisces, he has an amazing selection, i dont go there as often as i did, as i cant stop myself from spending, i go to a lot of the smaller shops too, and they seem good so far, one in particular has beautiful plants and only charges £1.40 a bunch, hence me having filled out me new tank with them, and another is a little old man that keeps the shop for a hobby, bought lots of small fish (barbs, guppies etc) from him- and he always gives me freebies lol- 2 tetra mugs last time i was in .its only really little bits i go shopping for at the moment as i certainly dont need anymore tanks/fish- tho i have 2 empty , but i do like to go in and have a nose about, i took the kids to moniefieth camping ( well to try out the new tent) and there was a little shop there he sells reptiles and fish, nice fish too, not anything rare etc, but was a nice shop, the only thing i didnt like was the fact that he had a betta in a tiny unheated savic box on the counter for about £25- but he probably knows more than me so i shut up but all in all its good, dont have to go far which is good.

no way!! fish shops in aberdeen are a disgrace, i aint been to one in about 9mnths. all the fish i own are either bought private or imported fish

Good for you I thought it was just me who felt that way about the toons shops...Ive been looking for local breeders to try and get some fish that way as I feel the same way about the shops in town...Its all about the money with those guys

usually i have fish for sale but got sold most of them recently

got some show guppie fry for sale and cherry shrimp

you should come have a look at them if you want and what else ill have i have 9 tanks at the moment

I live just south of the city, and keep marines. I have a few tanks and some equipment for sale at the moment too.
I agree about the shops in Aberdeen, they only want one thing from you, and it isn't repeat business......
