Look What I Got! Yay!

I don't have experience with either. I know that angelfish are surprisingly hardy. My father-in-law has an angelfish that I swear up and down could survive the apocalypse. The poor fish has seen some things....

haha, Yeah they are when i had mine the PH at first was fluctuating while i tried to get it right for breeding, this didnt seem to faze them at all which I was quite surprised at.

So out of curiosity, when I set up my 200 gallon monster next year (I hope) how many malawi cichlids can fit in a tank that large

Well putting it bluntly A LOT!! lol. | currently have a 225G with mbuna and have 65 in there nearly all wild caught and they breed on a regular basis and show excellent colouration, could easily have a 100 as long as the filtration can handle it. Obviously if you decide nearer the time that you prefer/want the Haplochromis/peacocks species (which are the larger fish of lake malawi and prefer more open water swimming space) Id say 30 to 40 without a problem maybe a little more.

That is awesome and GREAT to hear! I adore cichlids, as they are so colorful and just look very interesting. I would love to have some Green Terrors, but that really limits what I could put in there. But Malawis are beautiful as well. I just want a colorful tank with good variety. It would make for a fun time creating a Malawi Biotope as well.

Most cichlids are beautiful, i just love the character of malawi's they are sooo entertaining and fascinating at the same time. You will enjoy it when the time comes round to set the tank up

im getting excited. I love setting up new tanks! I love my livebearers, but I am ready to move on the something different....this will be my 5th tank lol
