DRY SEASON!! sorry i forgot why they did it. its just i live in uk so we dont really have to deal with dry seasons and stuff.
they come out of the water, waddle with their under neath fins and bury themselves, using their noses, in moist mud. i think weather/dojo loaches do the same.

No they don't......... from what I've always known, read etc. and from people I've just asked plecs don't hibernate.

wow plecos hybernate? well you learn something new everyday i have never taken my BN out his tank then again i wouldnt want to correct me if im wrong but wouldnt handling a fish like that damadge its slimecoat

I can't see it either on IE but can on mozzila

Still they don't leave the water from my knowledge. It's just a safe way to pick them up.
