Question for all u experts out there. I have just started a tropical tank and I saw on ebay some ads for live food. Now I have had fish before a good few years ago. My brothers have aquariums too. 1 has a tropical and the other has a marine tank. My question is. Can u feed Tubifex, Bloodworm and Daphnia to marine fish too?

Thanks

Hi stevcolx and welcome to TFF!

Although its easily possible one of our members here in the freshwater beginners section will answer your question, you might have a higher chance over in the marine section, so I'd post it up over there perhaps, also.

The healthy, colorful marine fish one sees when snorkling at a reef are likely to be finding live food rather than pinches of commercial flake food, so I'd assume its a pretty safe guess that live food would be more than casually accepted  . Ideal diets though, for marine just like freshwater, sometimes require additional information and tips needed for individual species of fish and individual types of foods. For example, I've sometimes seen it mentioned that too much bloodworm can be just too rich and overload the gut of some fish. So its good that you are questioning!
