when people post a link and instead of it just reading like the normal link they have renamed it to read "click me " or "linky" etc . how id that done please?

you have the add, the url code...the best way to explain this is to click reply and look at the link

press reply and see the url= and web address

Click the little chain button and you get an option to set the link's text.
