Hi, for reasons and many other things my 2ft cube project never got started. Im starting over again and this time it is happening. Im using a juwell rekord 60 tank. Its 2x1x1, about 60 litres.

Can anyone suggestion what lighting I might need. Im thinking t5's and softies as im a noob. Would 2x24w be sufficient? Cheers

Ill start my jorunal soon!

At 1 foot depth you wont lose much du to penetration issues.

What corals do you want? just softies? if so id just get two. although if you think you may want hard corals later a 4 tube fixture would be ok, then you could just leave two off for now and it would save you buying again later

Hey thanks, im glad you put that as thats exactly what ive done. I just purchased a second-hand 4x24w t5 unit off ebay. I was thinking just softies (mushrooms, polyps, rics) to start with but I read numerous threads where people want to start keeping more straight away so the 4 may be handy for future use.

Cheers for your input, James

Good choice - you could run two whites and a couple of actinics for now - would look fab :good: then when you get hard corals and you will :p, then you can change to more whites
