i want to keep corals and got some advice yesterday. it was that i would need 3 t8 lights (as my hood currently has 1) 2 white lights and 1 blue light.

is this good advice as i cant really fix anymore bulbs to my hood? i have 1 strong 10000W white bulb at the min....is this ok for some coral or do i need more?

how big is the tank?
fluoros are fine for tanks up to 18inches high. Taller tanks need halides. It also depends on what type of corals you plan on keeping and where the corals will be in the tank. If you put them up near the surface they will get more light. If they are on the bottom they will get less light.

if you want more globes then just get more 10,000K globes. Don't bother about a blue light. 10,000K globes have blue light in them and are fine.

the tank is at most 18 inches high.

so 1 more will be fine?

went to another shop today (my LFS) and he said to fit a t5 with half blue and half white alongside my 10000w i already have and use reflecters?
