Light Wattage Help

I have lights in my tank but unsure of what they are i cant remember its a 64 litre tank with a bulb thing its not long that goes accros the top its just at 1 side but it does light up the whole tank i would like plants in my tank such as riccia amazon sword christmas moss java moss dwarfhair grass and moss balls what wattage of light would do please help also it has to slots one has a blue night light but i could Put another bright one in and just turn them off at night

Have a look on the tube, it may still say on it what it is. Also look on the hood for a sticker to tell you. You could also type in the make and model of the fish tank into google and see if you get any results telling you the wattage of the bulb.

Aww thanks its a 15 watt interpet bulb with a mirror at the back side so it gets reflected back

I would have thought that you would be fine then. The Riccia and Hairgrass may just grow a little slower.

I think that I may have the same tank & light unit as Yours I have no problems with plant growth I have to trim most of the plants every 6 to 8 weeks the light is on for 8hrs a day and the lamp that is in use now is almost one year old so it could be loosing some of its power, I don't use any ferts, just fish poo some times I give the gravel a light top clean.

Can anubias be a low light 15 watt and grow
