hi everyone! I recently put some let lights on the top of my tank, and within 24 hours, my only two tiger barbs died. I was wondering if there is any correlation between barbs and the lighting that they are under. My albino barb seemed to be stuck at the surface for about three hours and did not move. After I shut the LED lights off in the tank, there was an instant change in the fish. He became very lively again and began swimming around the tank as usual. Could the LED lights be the cause of my two tiger barb’s death?

extremely unlikely the light did that.

it is most likely a water quality issue.
how long has tank been set up for?
what is the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH of the tank water?
how long have you had the fish for?

how often and how do you clean the filter?

how often do you do water changes and how much do you change?
do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?

any pictures and video of the fish with light on and off?

Its very doubtful. Unless they were shocked by the whole thing of you fitting the new light and if its much brighter than you're old one.. still.. very unlikely
