Led Lighting Or Flourescent Help

My aquarium has twin bar lighting and i find that the tank temperture goes up if i leave them on too long.

I was debating whether to get led lighting,does anyone use these and are they any good?

I haven't any live plants apart from moss balls.

or can you get lower watt tubes?

Better to ask in hardware. Small tanks you might get away with a budget set-up, larger tanks it's prohibitively expensive to go LED unless you are handy putting together chinese imported LED units and power packs...

High watt LED will put out the same amount of heat anyway. In the hardware section you will find people that have setup computer fans in the lid to draw the heat away from the lighting setup.
