I have a 6 inch layer of Hornwort in my Sword pond, so it is difficult to catch any specific fish I'm aiming for, but I did manage to catch this one.... a late developing male. (there was a spell where I was convinced that they are in fact females giving birth and then they turn into males... I have no concrete evidence though to substantiate this theory.

When I move away the Hornwort however, I see only about 10 or 15 of these - amoungst thousands (they stand out in a crowd due to their size)...so, I just wonder what is the ratio (per 100) in a normal batch?... There are a few much larger than this one, but I cannot catch 'em)

That is a very nice sword you have there Ludwig. One of my wild type green swords has also developed quite well and now, at almost 2 years old, one of his brothers is starting to show a bit of a sword.

We once bought 3 of them, 1 with tail 2 without (think it was a female), then unfortunately these 2 without the tails, turned out to be males.
