Large Empty Tank And Thinking Of Oscars.....

What about getting a group now and then thinning them out as they grow?

do you think a group would be ok in a 180? im not sure i would move them on easily too

i am supposed to collect the oscar from wharf aquatics this weekend but as my cycle still isnt complete its not going to be possible

my only option if they cant hold the fish any longer for me is to collect it and ask my local MA if they will keep it in their big sump tank, im sure they would do it for me as they know me very well but the only issue with doing this is the fact that they are getting new fish arrivals all of the time and there is a risk of the oscar getting something from them

ill have to ring wharf tomorrow and see if they can hold it for me for another week or 2

ive just noticed her advert..... i could house both the oscar and the plec as well! it might be an option ill ring wharf tomorrow and see what the outcome is. i really do have my heart set on the oscar i reserved though its stunning. i think its very overpriced too but you know how it is when you just want it

I yes I know that feeling, I want it, I must have it Its a shame I cant have Tigger (Minxy's oscar) he is a lovely chap, but with 4 oscars now plus the 2 red spot sevs that hate oscars (and each other) its impossible for me to shuffle my fish round to take him else I would of had him. Plus I have just had to split my 2 big plecs up, after 12 years of living together they had a really bad fight

just tested my cycle and have my first double zeros today

well i have 2 choices....

1. i can wait until monday and if i have double zeros still, skip the rest of the weeks testing and get the oscar

2. or stick to the final week of testing and wait until next saturday to get the oscar

i know what i want to do but is it wise...?
