Costs £7.50 for it, 50ml per 1000litres of pond water (220Imp gallons, 265 us gallons).
I brought it, i assume its ok for tropical fish tanks?? (Mines a 4ft tank around 130-140litres).

I assume dechlorinators are all the same, this one is just about 10x as strong as the other "tetra safe" stuff which makes it far far cheaper.

If i used 1ml pipette (that my medicine box has) it will treat 20litres/5US gallons? Rather than the others which were about 10ml to 10 gallons and far more expensive.

Can you overdose this stuff?
Says add to pond before water, but i should add to buckets of water/stir/wait 2 minutes then add the treated water to the tank?

From what I have read pond dechlorinator is fine, I will be getting some next time.

There was a recent topic which suggested you couldn't overdose on the stuff.

I would always mix it up in a bucket if it's possible. Adding to the tank will mean it mixes with the existing water first, then a diluted amount will mix with the fresh water.

It will be fine.

Don't know about overdosing it.

When dechlorinating my water for water changes I always add the dechlor to the bucket of water, wait 10 minutes then put it in the tank and I haven't had any problems. I don't know if this wait is necessary but it hasn't done any harm (just make sure the water is warm enough so that when it cools down in 10 minutes it will be about tropical temp).

As others have said, it's fine to use. I fill my tanks from a hose attached to the mixer tap in the kitchen, and I just add the dechlor straight to the tank after removing the water and before turning on the tap. Works like a charm :) And yes, that dosage would be correct. The pond dechlors last for ages :)

Thank you, i shall add it to the bucket i think then but must first figure out how much water it can hold.

I use a 5 gallon bucket and Prime. I double the indicated dose and use a whole 1 ml. A double dose is well tolerated by the fish and it provides some insurance against when they dose the chlorine heavy and don' bother to tell you. They will do that when they have been working on the water mains so that the water is safer for people. Needless to say, people can drink water that would quickly kill fish.
