hey all
today i bought a male wild yellow krib to go with my female one and first he hid for abit but now his out swimming round fine wiv two small one inch kribs i hav aslong like his there father haha
anyway what i wanted to ask is it a good or bad sing wen the female is simming round kissing or bitin which ever one you would say it was his neck and his back while he is swimming wiv hs head pointin up and tail pointin the sand????
ive neevr seen this before and was wondering if it was normal or not
also will they breed same way as normal kribs?
thanks alot

hey
how do you know if they pair up?
are they just always together and stuff
thanks

hey all
in wiv my big male and female
i also hav two lil 1 inch ones and it seems that the big male has taken them on as his kids the 3 of them swi round together and the male chases andone that goes near them away
is this normal? has anyone had this happen before
and could this stop the male and female breeding?
thnaks alot

I would take them out as this could make them not want to breed. I have never heard of kribs " fathering" another parents kids, but it is possible. Please post some pics( I love wild kribs and cant get enough pics)

hey
sorry no pics yet i will try
ive noticed that im pritty sure they hav paired up now they are always swimming round togther
i did quit big water change today culd that trigger breeding?
what kinda caves do they prefere?
thanks

hey all
my male krib has been looking very dark coloured and keeps hiding in a cave
why is this?
also the famel hides in a cave at the other end of tank
im hoping they will breed but not lookign very good atm
thanks

just give it time... while prolific, kribs aren't quite as randy as convicts and generally don't breed overnight. mine went several months between spawns and would court for weeks before agreeing on a spawn site.

performing large water changes does seem to stimulate courtship in kribs; while this doesn't guarantee that they'll breed, it won't hurt either. maybe start changing 25%-33% a week?

ok then thanks
yea il start doing that
when there both not in different caves there always swimming round together
but yea i think il do the water changes
thanks again

well got some bad news my female krib was foud dead today :(
dont understand what happened
