Anyone know if Kribs determine power, or leadership, by the radiance in colour a male fish has. Or is it all based on the number of spots, size, and/or aggression?

Have noticed a female paying special interest in a male in a seperate, but next door, tank than the male she had originally chosen. This male is smaller than her male, but is so much more colourful.

Every time she teases him with a catching glimpse, but only if she can get away with it. The male in the next door tank always seem to fall for her teasing!

Feel sorry for the the male she's with. He's tried everything to keep her attention, but possibly failing. ;)

What should I do?!

Hate to ask you this....are you sure metfan581? From experience, I've always known them to derive from Africa. To confirm, I've also (re-)checked this out with various internet sources.

They're from the Nigerian/Cameroon region of Africa. Please show me the site, or any other, that disproves what I've seen.

Thanks. :)

PS I've also got a couple books which confirms that they're from Africa.

West African rivers , not new world .

Sorry I can't answer your question , never had 2 or more males at the same time .

Try putting her with the other male , she'll probably end up teasing the one she left

Well hello. I've just spotted something that's never been seen, or mentioned on the forum before.

The male she's currently with is vibrating in front of her ?!

Don't give up, someday you're going to be dad! ;)

And she want the fish in the other tank :/ Poor guy

In the wild, a brightly colored fish would be healthiest therefor it is in her interest to go for the more colorful male.
