Hey everyone ^.^

Thought I'd post some info about my lil Kitchen Tank ^.^
Managed to get some Mature Media from my local vets tank ^.^ yay.

Tanks now running but still missing alot >.<
I managed to fit in bubble bar in today which was good cause I really didn't think I get time to do it.
Got 6 Bunches(30 Singles) of plants coming tommrow so that should be good ^.^

At the moment the tank has 3 platies in which eventualy will be going to my friend once I decide what fishies I'm gonna keep.
Decided with my partner that instead of 2 medium fishies were gonna have afew small fishies.
And of course over filter the tank ^.^

Here's how the tanks going:

Day 1:
Got the tank cleaned and also washed the gravel(the fake plants came with tank but won't be keeping em)

Day 2:
Got the Mature Media ^.^ and some Tank Water hehe now I fitted the Bubble Bar and a new "Sun" light.
Also put 3 platies into tank who seem to be loving it. ^.^ Got live plants coming tommrow

Looks a bit small. How many Gallons is it? Looks good though.

6.5 Gallons
It's for kitchen ^.^ I think when ppl put huge tanks in there kitchen it looks so clutterd and silly.

I know not to overstock it but I know I can bend the rules like other ppl on forum have said there just guidelines and with extra care & maint more fish can be added.

I won't be keeping the Platties they will be going to my friends tank.

Vets near me has a 5G tank thats stocked to max and amazeingly there water conditions are pretty good but they have maint(25% change) every 3-4 days.

I got my Media from them hehe

Hi Leedsboi86 :)

That's some very bright and cheerful gravel you have there! I can't wait to see it when you have added the plants.

The kitchen isn't a bad place for a tank, as long as it doesn't get overheated when you use the oven or cook a big meal on top of the stove. I have a kitchen tank on one side of my sink.

hehe the Kitchen has a cooler unit the temp won't raise above a set level.

I picked the Gravel cause I wanted to go with somone that will stand out and be like "WOW" but also with the plants it will tone it down so it looks natural with plants but also has the wow factor of the not so natural gravel hehe.

I did put Black Gravel in but it looked kinda depressing >.<

Once the plants are in it should tone it down. It looks alot brighter now because it's all there is in the tank lol so there really isn't nething to look at.

I may go back to the Black Gravel idea unsure yet.
Will add more pics when plants turn up

Hi Leedsboi86 :)

What kind of fish are you planning to put in there?

I actually like the red gravel... i dunno whats getting into me.

I think putting some kind of background on it will help. Looking through it and seeing the corner of the counter, along with the bright gravel, detracts from the fish in it.
