I have a Pink Kissing Gourami that is literally the fish that won't die. My family originally got it from a friend after it was pulled out of a burning house. We have since had it for at least 4-5 years in a 20 gallon tank which it has outgrown and jumped out of twice. I have very recently moved it into my new 50 gallon tank. It hasn't been moving around as much as it used and I am wondering if it is getting old(this was before the tank switch as well). I am figuring its total age to be anywhere from 6-8 years old. What is the expected life span of one of these?

Thanks, Pete

I looked on the web and it gave 5 years so its doing really well. How does it get on with other fish?

It will be aggressive at times, but it's usually not the type to instantly kill any other tank mate given, althought it has taken some little guys out in the past. It's been fine with my Needlefish in my 50-gallon tank though.

Edit: Found out it's a minumum of 7 years old, probably more like 8-9.

Wow....you guys must be taking exellent care of him! :yahoo:
