Keyhole Cichlids Too Big?

Hello, I'm currently looking for a centrepiece fish for my Aqua El Econoline 70 tank which holds 98 litres.

I am really tempted by the Keyhole Cichlids but read on badmantropical that they need a 36" long tank and my tank is only 27.5 inches long

I do have a second tank which is a Rekord 96 which is 31.5inches long I believe, I just need to buy the hood and stand for it, but saying that I may try and buy a Rio 125 instead as it'll more then likely be the cheaper option and give me a larger tank.

But just incase is the Econoline 70 tank pushing it, or will it/they be fine?

Hi, What are the full dimensions of the tank? 20USG is the usual recommended size for these so your tank at 26G should be perfect,

and tbf The Rekord, at 96L, is technically a smaller tank so if thats fine for keyholes according to badman then your 98L setup is too,

my shrimp seemed to disappear when i got my keyholes

Ohhh Really wanted some blue shrimp.

Maybe I could get Bamboo Shrimp, since they're quite large.

i had loads of cherry shrimp and they all seemed to disappear when the keyholes came along

Hmm okay then.

Really like the Blue Shrimp, need to decide what I want as my shoaling fish though, get 10 more Glowlight Danios or change to either 15 Pentazona Barbs or 15 Scarlet Tetras.
