Hi, I'm Ken Brooks, a longstanding inhabitant of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I got a 55 gallon aquarium more than 25 years ago, because it just happens to beautifully fit a certain space in my house! (OK, I carved up the house a tiny bit to make it fit.) I like color! I like plants! Right now my challenge for the season is to find plants that won't get radically eaten and fish that won't radically eat them

I also love my aquarium because, in season, it serves as a mega prism for the light of the setting sun, and adorns my house with the purest, brightest colors I ever see!

That would be a dream tank for Congo tetras and one of the tall Vallisneria/Sagittaria type plants.

That's a nice sized tank. We've got periodically tank contests. Yours could fit in perfectly.
