Keeping Bettas With Other Fish.

Thanks guys, I have am currently just getting levels correct in tank but have decided to just stock it with 6 neons and a few other smaller fish (Would perhaps 6 tiger barbs be ok with just the neons or do they grow too big?)

No, Tiger Barbs need to be kept in groups of at least six but pref over 10. This way any aggression is kept within the group. They are also quite fast swimming fish and need more room than the tank would offer them. I currently have 17 Black Ruby Barbs which are a similar size to Tigers and 48L is not big enough as fully grown they are fairly bulky.

I also ordered a Fluval edge 23 litre last night to house a single Betta and am waiting in today for delivery of a fluval osaka 155 that I ordered wednesday to house some angel fish.

You would be best not filling the Edge to the top in order to leave enough space for the Betta to breath. They have a labyrinth lung and need access to the surface.

The Osaka 155 is around two feet tall so that should be tall enough for Angels, but it is only two feet long isnt it? You would be best with a single Angel in this, possibly along with some Corydoras and larger Tetras. The problem with stocking more Angels would be the length of the tank. A breeding pair could be too aggressive in that volume for any other tank mates.

I'm going to say that one angel isn't a good idea.
