Juwel Rio 125 Filter That Comes With Tank Does It Have Carbon?

My sisters tank has an outbreak of whitespot. She's not sure if the filter has carbon in it. What would it look like as mine never had had carbon in them so I don't know. She has the filter where it is one big box with the heater inside. Thanks

Any other tips for treating the whitespot? The tank came with a bottle of treatment so that was lucky.

yes it does as standard - its the black sponge (ie, not the white pad, or blue or green sponge).

No worries. If she has a green sponge that's a nitrate sponge (ie, they say it has to be replaced every x months and it removes nitrate) - tell her not to replace that and just use it as a regular sponge. Nitrates are removed by water changes, not by expensive filter sponges!
