As title really, i am now checking out my 2nd LFS. After boning up on the topics on here i went back to my original LFS and and asked a few questions innocently that needed specific answers.
Answers like "don't worry about the water, so long as you have a routine they will be fine"
Or, "Testing?" you only need to worry about that if your spending 50 or 60 quid a time on fish.....
Anyway after that have found a better one (so far), could tell me about their testing methods using an API kit in front of you. Listened to ME and then came back with questions on Nitrate and Nitrite levels and why its important to get the tank cycled before adding fish or plants.
That was me sold for now,
bit pricy but they have a lot of stock kept(to my eyes)in well maintained tanks and what appears to be again to my inexperienced eye the kind of stuff you might need testing kit, all sorts of feed, but a small stock of stuff like filters etc, plenty of different media though.
Anyho, thanks for the site it is beginning (said quietly) to make sense.
