Just Picked Up A Dthm ** Picture**

hey. well i was looking round 2 day for some fish to fill up my lil tank wit. and i wasnt looking for a fighter, but first i saw there crowntail, and i was like, holy poo, i want ! then i saw there delta ! and i was like omg i want more ! and i had just asked the person for the delta when he sed they had a halfmoon double tail,i literally had a fit in the middle of the shop lol ! anyway so hes now in ma tank upstairs, doin well, hes eaten so all is good. ill try get sum pics l8er on when me dad comes home wid camera.

but, i have a question, i know fo sure hes (? i guess its a he) is a DT, that obvious, but how do you know if its a halfmoon? hes still quite small so hes fins arent fully grown yet, the person in the shop sed hed be amazing when they were. just need a way of telling if its a HM or not. thnx.

srry its not an amazing pic, but u get teh idea. in real life hes alot brighter

Well, its definitely a DT and a pretty one as well. As for being HM, I'm not that sure unless we get a flaring picture. Juding from that one picture, he looks like a delta/super delta. Also, the split in the tail doesn't look very centered. && If it is a DTHM, you have a "full moon" its such a weird name. But apparently 2 halves of an HM = a full moon. Forgot who told me that haha.

I agree with whisperian, hard to tell but does look more delta like

His fins look like they have fin rot/tail biting or something. When his fins grow out, count the rays on the tail, and get a flaring picture..

I havent seen him flare yet .. ima try get a mirror or sumthing see if thatll work. ya the top half of the tail looks smaller than the bottom there,i think because that pic was taken after he had turned, thats the only time i can get him sort of flaring as for the half moon thing, i agree i thinks its only a super delta at most, but well see when i get a mirror
