Just Picked Up Some New Fish!

I just picked up (3) Platys for my 10 year old son's 20 gallon high. We just recently re homed his huge female Lyretail Molly because she was chasing the Neons & Glass Cats around. To convince him that she'd be better off at Grandpa's house in a bigger, 29 gallon tank with bigger Tetras. I had to bribe him with more fish. Don't judge.

I was only going to get him two but I saw an awesome Mickey Mouse Platy & I had to get him. I had already picked out a perfect Sunset Platy & Some Yellow Platy with black fins and they were already in the bag.

I also got a small Bristlenose Pleco for my main tank, again because it was a perfect looking specimen and that tank could use more algae control. I think it's a female and she's medium brown with gold dots of different sizes all over her. My others have always been plain dark brown with some white tips on the fins.

Yeah, here in North Carolina that's about the only type available. The new one has a much lighter overall color with the gold/beige spots.

I love pleco !

I have one, I think she's female. When I first got her she was dark brown with medium / dark brown spots. As she is gettng older the spots are lightening and she looks beautiful !
