One of my female guppys is away to drop her fry, so i subtly scooped her up in a breeding net which i kept in the tank during the process so as not to stress her. But she is ramming the sides and going a bit nuts inside.

Obviously if she stresses, she will loose the fry and miscarry. So what could i have done to catch her but without stressing her?!

Turn lights off, move net to somewhere where there is less flow, put some moss in if you have any or other small plant clippings, if possible put her in a breeding net trap, more room etc and more room to put plants in :) also a bit of stress coat might help but if you dont have any dont bother rushing out to get any.

Will meth blue work? I hear that's good for relaxing fish?

Erm, im not sure of meth blue, i heard that was just for preventing fungus in newly laid eggs and as a treatment of ich..
