Nice plant. Anubias are often quoted as robust plants that can be tried with plant eating fish, but I've found just the opposite!
My red line torpedo barbs love to eat them and because they are slow growing they can't take it. The only other plant I've seen them eat is hygrophila, but that grows fast enough for it not to be a problem.
I did once try to cover some anubias with a net to keep the fish off with the idea that once they were fully established they might be less tender. They grew fine under the net but as soon as I removed it they were gone!

i have a few anubia - one of them has gotten too big so everytime i do a water change it sticks its leaves out of the water :(

I tried to tell it to stay low but it just keeps growing likes it wants to jump out :(

My oh my why can't they behave better ?

Some get larger then others. What variety do you have?

Almost any anubias I have kepyy gets big given enough time. Some do not grow so much vertically as they will horizontally. the one exception has been what I have always heard called the nana petite which do stay very tiny. Tropica calls them Anubias 'Mini Coin',

For many years I have relied on the Tropica site for plant info. http://tropica.com/en/ This especially useful for information on a variety of plant species which is found here https://tropica.com/en/plants/ The site is available in English. German, French or Danish.

I have a lot - i believe i have at least the following:
nana petite (which is really a type of barteri)
barteri
nana golden (which is just a colour of nana)
nana pinto (which is just a colour of nana)
at least one afzerlii somewhere
at least one hastifolia somewhere
probably a few others i've forgotten over the years.

I'd love to get a true gigantea but no one sells it. I'm pretty sure the one marcrus list is not an actual gigantea.

I have anubius consensus, anubius golden nana , anubius heterpholia and anubius white rose. I'm thinking about getting some anubius gigantea for my 20 gallon standard as well
