Female angels get fatter in the belly and the breeding tube is white and blunt whereas the male is longer and tapered.

How are they acting with each other? A pair will swim together and show off to each other. They will also investigate sites and pick at them to clean.

Have you seen any tube comong down from the other? It is possible for two females to pair as well.

Can you get a pic of the second one?

Sure, I will get a picture of the other, one time I saw the one with the white mark peeking at a long peice of driftwood shooing the cordoras away, but no breeding. I have seen the other one nip the black one around the snout one or twice and i'm not sure why ( looked like he was kissing it abit). They do tend to swim togather, but i mean right know ones is in the back of the tank and the other is by the front nipping on some algae, after alittle they will come back togather but they don't always stay right beside eachother, sometimes they swim maybe and inch or more from eachother. I'm very confused because because I have never seen any Cichlid pair up. Let me get a picture.

Okay, got a picture heres the link: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showto...p;#entry1469572

That is one gorgeous angel.

To me it looks male as it has the pinched look around the abdomen. It sounds like they have paired when you describe the behaviour, but you need to watch the second more closely to see if it has a tube different to the first one.

Thanks for the compliment  ! I try to keep my angels as best I can. I will look out for a tube diffrent then the black ones, but so far I haven't seen anything. I'm very happy to hear that they have paired up and I hope for some babies once I get a bigger tank!

Well i'm just posting back, the thing on the angel is growing larger, and still no sign of what we think is the male's reproductional organs.
