That is a great photo. They are all looking at you it's a kodak moment. That should be used for the front of a book about sa cichlid. Or it could be your Xmas card. I love it.

They're are all about 6 to 6 1/2 inches.
Believe it or not, the Yellow Acara is the dominant fish in the tank...for the time being at least. Even more odd is the JD and Acara seem to of paired off, always beside each other, practically inseparable.

No aggression problems as of yet. Well....the Jag and the Yellow Acara lip lock and fight once and awhile, but the Jag really is a wimp compared to everything Ive read about them and the Yellow Acara is the opposite of everything Ive read about its behavoir, being that its the dominant fish at the moment.
The JD is the most laid back of the three, in the 3 months Ive had him I havent seen a single aggressive display yet.
Of course, that can all change, but as of now, things are actually quite calm within the tank.

I have a dozen or so large pieces of driftwood in the tank placed in ways that give them plenty of hiding places. Again, one would think they'd each have their own little spot...not these guys, they've decided its best to hide together at all times.
