Just A Few Questions

yes platies can live in slightly brackish waters, Id reccomend mollies too but depending on the species they might get too big for a ten gallon. actually quite a large number of livebeares live and enter brackish waters... mollies, platies occassionaly enter slightly brackish, halfbeaks, 4 eyes, and the list goes on.

and you might want to lower your salinty, maybe 1.003

Mollies yes that is well known: are you sure about platies? I thought they came from lowland rivers with alkaline water, but did not actually enter brackish. I'd be really interested if you have a scholarly reference, as I want to expand my knwoledge of livebearers.

edit: Ok, I found the reference myself. You live and learn. You were right, and I've learnt something new.
