Joining Two 16/22 Tubes?

I have my 16/22 coming from my filter, to my CO2 diffuser, then up to my output. I want to take out my diffuser.....so is there an easy way to connect the two ends of my tubing? I don't want to buy more tubing and just make a new run, as 1) the tubing is not cheap, and 2) its fiddly getting them onto the spray bars etc!
