my 500g bottle ran out this morning... i filled it just before christmas!!!

^^^Sounds like you have a leak somewhere

On a different note my 6.5 kilo cylinder that i set up before xmas hasnt run out yet :D

Id say sometime mid 2007 i might have to start worrying about it :p

Get a spray bottle with some water and a bit of washing up liquid, and spray all the joints, check valves etc
you will get little bubbles if its leaking.

I have my JBL setup on the spiral defuser that came with it, i was advised to use as many sections of the defuiser that would fit in the tank to increase the amout of time the co2 was i contact with the water.

Mines been running for over three months, the first two 24/7 and the last with a solenoid valve.

When i bought my solenoid it came with a two pin US plug, i cut it off and wired a three pin UK instead

i was going to start another thread but i think there are already enough about this kit in progress right now.

i set mine up last night (JBL Proflouri2)

one problem though, when i was setting the bubble rate the screw valve does not seem fine enough. i either get cart loads of co2 or nothing. to vary it from 5 bubbles a second to say a bubble per second is such a small movement of the valve i cant do it. the finest adjustment has a massive impact on the output. am i doing something wrong here, it just seems daft seeing as the valve has so much "thread" to play with i'm only using about 0.005mm of it between off and on.

any thoughts would be appreciated

James

Edit: the bottle pressure is about 55bar and the other one is 1.5bar (500g bottle)

That seems very precise jimbooo, i know what you mean though, i use a Tunze regulator and to tweak the needle valve bubble rate sometimes takes a minute or so before you get it spot on, but im talking the difference between say getting 4 bubbles every 10 seconds to getting say 3 bubbles every 10 seconds, mine seems to be pretty precise but not an all or nothing situation.

damn it i thought you were going to say that. i'm now blowing on it to change the bubble rate. rather than using my fingers. LOL

not quite but almost..
