I recently just purchased a nice clump of java moss for $3 from my LFS.

I placing this in a 2.5 gallon tank with my Betta. I have a 2 inch tall terra cotta pot in there that I have sort of "wrapped" with the moss. I'd eventually like the moss to attached or cling or something to the pot. Will this method work? Or do I have to untangle the clump and affix better with rubber bands or something?

Probably best to affix it. Every time the clump moves and it's not already stuck you sorta start over. You could just wind some thread around it and the pot as it is.

you should take out the terra cotta pot and roughen up the outside with sandpaper. rinse it off and then secure the moss to the pot with thread like endparenthesis said. good luck!
