Hi i have a jack Dempsey who is starting to rub the sides of his head off things in his tank the pH is 7.2 kh is about 16/20 does anyone know whats wrong

We'll need a bit more info I think. How long has this been going on? When did you get him? How long has the tank been set up? Did you cycle it? If so, how?
 
1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc)
2. A full description of the fishes symptoms.
3. How often you do water changes and how much.
4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water.
5. What tank mates are in the tank.
6. Tank size.
7. Finally Have you recently added any new fish?
