You can see they're getting dorsal and anal fins in. That just started a couple of days ago. I've been doing daily 75% water changes to keep the levels low, I think I'm going to move them into a 4 footer much sooner than I usually would. I have no choice,we're a bit overcrowded in there.

He's doing so well, there are so many fry..I don't know if I'll ever be able to get him out without netting any I took the cover off his tank and I've been in his way all day thinking he might munch a few.. and he doesn't mind a bit

Personally I think it's exciting you have DT's...I've also never heard of DT Plakats but I don't really know much about Plakats, so that isn't saying much, haha.

Where did you get the parents? Are you able to ask the breeder about their background?

Linda~ Dad came from Straits aquarium in Singapore. I don't know much about him but I know Straits turns out a lot of Dt's. The mother was/is one of my orange girls. I know that the oranges have HM geno and CT geno...now DT too? It doesn't make sense but hey...crazier things have happened, I suppose.

That's a 5 gallon they're in I like to keep my spawns in there until 1 month, but this is waay to many fish.

oh wuv! those pictures that you posted..that's what my 6 weeks old fry looks like

as for the babies i have right now, they are 9 dyas old, so i don't expect them to look quite like yours (besides your babies grow so quickly!), i dont' see dorsal/anal fins on them yet...in fact i didnt' see them until about 4 weeks on my first sapwn

All I know,from what little experience I have,is that week 2 and 3 are the most important. Keep the water clean,clean,clean and feed them LOTS. That's a big time growth week and they're always hungry.

i am doing 50% water changes twice daily syphoning using an airline tubing and then using that to slowly pour the water back in(takes forever).

as for food, i always feed them right after the water change (mw), and then once again sometime in between the two wtaer changes.

my bbs is not hatching two of my mw cultures just died on me today so i have restarted them cc is going to go into a panic mode soon!

i can't figure out why the bbs isn't hatching, until then they are getting ifrst bites but i doubt much of that is being eaten
