I can't keep the lotus going IN fish ponds, they like shallower water. And 4 years ago I started this one, but this year it isn't blooming.... So I tipped the pot and looked at the roots to see why. I think for starting with 1 inch section of root 4 years ago, things are going ok. It didn't bloom this year because it's pot bound. Turns out the roots are good to eat, I'm chasing recipes... I'll replant the lotus too, but I like stir fry

lotus root is very yummy!
