Its In My Tank And Im Worried

I think it may be live mosquito larva, its like swimming in my tank (swims wierd) is it dangerous, i dont want to wake up one day and be infested with mosquitos biting my ass.

I got a pair of scissors and chopped the buggers in half, the ones i could see anyways.

Think it came in the live daphnia bag

Its a bit hard cos the tank is full of shrimp

I put in some daphnia cos there was some young platys in there, i moved them out when redoing the tank.

If it is a sort of straight line in shape with one end sitting at the surface like it was breathing through a snorkel, it is a mosquito larvae. It is probably the best accepted fish food you can get for anything but vegetarians. Scoop them into your platy and guppy tank and you won't need to worry about anything surviving to bother you.

get a hardy fish. most can live with shrimp and they will not think before they eat them
