I would imagine it was just for the picture as none of their fins appear to be damaged and they sure would be if they had been kept like that for any length of time, even sibling sisters

I bought from him once. He's easy to deal with, and the female I bought from him was nice. Anyone remember Hera? That was her.

Easy way to tell if a seller is mistreating his fish or not: check the feedback.
695 positive, 419 of those from unique users. I'd say he's overwhelmingly trusted as a good seller, and there's no way the fish are actually housed like that for any length of time or the people buying them wouldn't be as satisfied as they apparently are with their purchases.

No ripped fins = no fighting = haven't been together in that space long

I had e-mailed him (her?) about it a while ago before my two girls died, as I was thinking of buying some from him for my sorority tank, but I never did end up buying them as I got the speeding ticket I still have yet to pay and then my other two girls died.
