Today I made a small sponge filter out of an old small aquarium plant pot a piece of air hose and thoose sponges the plants come wrapped in.

Will it be mature enough to support one male platy in a 6L the pot with 2 sponges has been sat next to an airstone under a filter for about 4 months with 4 platies.

Right I am doing I have no meds or test kit. other than fish tonic

so thats why the ill male is in a floating 6L with it in as it dosent say about invertibret compatiblity on the tonic

the ill tank is under close watch and the remaning female and fry seem very happy and healthy

maybe, he seems to have percced up a bit though so for now ill use it anything is surely better than nothing
