Is your tank planted?

I have tried planting tanks my whole life, and have never had any success, so my answer, i guess, would be no.

Real plants. For oxygen and for fish to eat if they want.

I have 5 tanks of varying sizes and all have real plants. So much easier at maintaining good water conditions and no algae problems. And the fish luuurve them.

in one tank I have both plastic and live plants, I first stole the plastic plants from my bros turtle tank (he trew them away!! ) and then I stole some of the live plants he bought to replace the fake ones (he had soooo many )

in the second one I keep only plastic plants because it has almost no lighting.

But after keeping live plants I'm planning on upgrading the lighting of both tanks to go fully LIVE

Both in my tank - started out with real plants, but naughty platys keep eating them, raaaagh! I have taken out the plants they had nibbled to oblivion, and have replaced them with some nice-looking fake ones.

I put live plants in the tanks with fish that allow them...My severum won't accept them as decor, only food
