It's not a bad tank at all, and the price is excellent. However, there are some issues to bear in mind.
It's quite a deep, thin aquarium. That means it has a poor surface area to volume ration. The narrower the top surface of the tank, the less oxygen gets into the water. This tank is 75 cm deep but only 45 cm from front to back. It'll look nice in terms of depth, but that front to back measurement is quite limiting so far as rocks, plants, terracing and so on are concerned. In other words, it'll be difficult to decorate. The shape also means that big fish, anything more than 15 cm/6 inches, will probably find the tank too "narrow" to be comfortable. Fine for tetras and gouramis, not so good for suckermouth catfish or large cichlids.
The lighting sounds quite generous, 117 watts for 55 Imperial gallons, about 2 watts per gallon, but that's not a lot of light for a tank this deep. Anything "light hungry" is going to have trouble at the bottom of this tank. Floating plants at the top, and shade-tolerant plants like Crypts and Anubias should be fine.
The filtration system sounds like a low-pressure system similar to that to the one in the Juwel aquaria. Fine for small fish, and potentially able to provide excellent biological filtration (I'd bin the carbon though). However, the lack of pressure means big fish will produce more solid waste than the filter can handle, resulting in a silty aquarium. If you're keeping fish bigger than, say, blue gouramis, make sure you can add an external canister filter; you'll need it!
Cheers, Neale
