Hi just me again  my 2 "rainbow" platy girls seem to be pregnant and I think they are both going to drop at the same time :hyper: They are both huge now, the only problem is I can't tell them apart but tonight I noticed ones more gold the other silver.
I tried to get pics as best as I could but they were in a feeding frenzy (I thought it would be easier to get pics but no lol)
here they are but I think they are the same female

and the video because it's so much clearer and easier as my phone pics have a delay and the fish have moved by the time it captures

Could you tell me if they are close please? Thankyou.

:) I would like 1 or 2 to survive. I would feel awful if they were all eaten :(
I read on another thread about getting fry out with a turkey baster-so I bought one yesterday. I'm prepared lol
I just have a breeding trap which I WILL NOT be using for the females after I killed my female guppy by putting her in there. I will use it for the few fry who make it to get a bit bigger :)

It might be a good idea to place the platy in a 2 gallon tub, with loads of plants, with that setup. There is a high chance that many fish will survive

I wish I could, but I only have 1 filter and 1 heater :(

I bet they will do ok in the breeder net if you only save some of them. I plan to do that too sometimes. I have a platy who I think is going to drop today. Goodluck to our girls!!

I'm scared i'll not see them but if I see one or 2 then that's what was meant to be.
Aww good luck! Keep us updated!

I agree that it is four days at the most :good: , but that is the stage right before going square, when they look like a balloon molly.
just some tips on fry care, i just got some sail fin molly fry that are now 12 days old, and most of them are swimming, but it took about 9 days untill they could do that, and i still have one or two that are not swimming alot yet. until about ten days 5 days i have been feeding eighteen fry with about 3/4 of a centimeter up a toothpick that has been dipped in water and then dipped in the fry food. Then at ten days it has been a full centimeter of food on the toothpick, and finally at 12 days I have been dipping in the tip of my finger in the water and then putting it into the water. you will find how much and which way to feed your fry your own way though.
good luck! :fun:

Thanks for the advice.
I don't know if any of you read my other post about me being worried about my 2 girls-the one who had been stuck between the slate belly up, passed away a few hours ago. R.I.P Tango :-(
