I was wondering if I could go to the local stream, catch a bunch of crap, and then put all of it in my tank (water included)? I haven't seen my Ghost Catfish eat any of the frozen bloodworms or brineshimp I put in, and I heard they like live water borne stuff.

It would be safer to grow cultures of live food yourself. I think brine shrimp are easy-do a serch and I'm sure you'll find instructions

Baby brine shrimp are very easy to raise. You buy the artemia cysts and put a small amount in some salty water for a couple of days with an air stone running to stir things. The things hatch and you siphon them off through a shrimp net.
