I was speaking to one of my 'regulars' at the LFS I work at the other day and they were telling me about a shop in cambridgeshire. I believe it was a pets @ home. Anyway, they went in and asked for a product containing 'live bacteria' to help boost their filter. So, what did the helpful sales assistant say?
"You want to go to the supermaket and buy a pro-biotic youghurt, like yakult" - This is either the strangest, worst advice ever or a stroke of genius!

Think someone needs to do an experiment on a small tank without fish.

I wouldn't advise it to anyone without having some knowledge on it.
Could do more harm then good.

Not entirely sure why a yoghurt would want to convert ammonia to nitrite etc... or why indeed there would be ammonia in the yoghurt in the first place...

Yogurt for breakfast.
Can't stand yogurt.
